Quality management department functions

1. Develop, maintain and continuously improve the quality management system (QMS). Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations. Train and educate employees on the QMS and quality standards.

2. Determine the necessary certifications for the products and coordinate with certification bodies. Ensure compliance with certification requirements and maintain certifications.

3. Develop and maintain inspection procedures, criteria, and standards. Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure that materials, parts, and products meet specified requirements. Identify quality problems and initiate corrective actions.

4. Identify and categorize non-conforming products and initiate corrective actions. Implement preventive measures to reduce the likelihood of non-conformities in the future.

5. Develop and maintain a traceability system for quality records.- Analyze quality data and identify areas for improvement. Conduct regular quality audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS.

6. Develop and maintain inspection plans and sampling procedures. Provide technical support to inspection personnel. Identify and communicate quality problems and initiate corrective actions.

7. Develop and maintain measurement standards and procedures. Establish and maintain a system for the calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments. Ensure compliance with measurement requirements and maintain records.

8. Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Evaluate the equipment for accuracy and precision. Initiate corrective actions for equipment that is out of specification.

9. Evaluate the quality of products and services provided by suppliers. Develop and maintain a supplier performance evaluation system.   Work with suppliers to address quality problems and implement corrective actions.
